Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has urged Nigeria’s electoral body, INEC, to allow elections follow due process and reflect the true choice of the people.

Speaking at a protest in Abuja demanding the timely e-transmission of election results, Obi emphasized that credibility, not manipulation, must define the democratic process.

“Allow elections to go through the normal process. Whoever wins, we will accept,” he stated, reinforcing his stance on transparency and national unity.

The protest highlighted growing public demand for accountability, trust in institutions, and reforms that strengthen Nigeria’s democracy. For many supporters, Obi’s message was clear: democracy only works when the people’s voices are respected.
